My name is Ken Anderson and I am the founder of Phoenix Rises. I served as a Police Officer for almost 20 years in a variety of different frontline and training roles.
During my Policing career I honed an array of communication skills during high-pressure situations as an Authorised Police Firearms Officer. I then further refined these developing and delivering educational training at Leeds Trinity University obtaining a City and Guilds Level 4 Diploma in Adult Learning and Development.
My life changed dramatically when as the result of an injury on duty my physical and mental health started to become adversely affected. So much so that it ultimately led to me attempting to end my life in July of 2023.
From that moment, the path my life took started to change and Phoenix Rises was born. A business I am deeply passionate about not just because of the opportunity it affords me to make a difference in people's lives, but also because I can help facilitate genuine and tangible changes within business.
The powerful combination of my lifelong passion for protecting and helping people, the lived experience of severe mental health issues and how communication plays such a prevantitive role in improving it, have ultimately enhanced my knowledge and expertise around the power of meaningful conversations and effective communication in the workplace.
Add to this my unique skills and training I have around Conflict Resolution, Problem Solving, Teamworking, Crisis Management, Resilience and Ethical Leadership and the benefits that Phoenix Rises can offer your business starts to speak for itself.
